UPDATE August 2020.
Norton Day at Ryka’s Box Hill is going ahead as a ride in event – this year it is an informal gathering in the open air with less show bikes exhibited due to COVID-19.
Please ride in, preferably on a Norton (!), and you will find us near the café in our usual spot but without the usual branded NOC Gazebo. There should be a bollarded section near the café for Norton Parking.
The café and toilets are open, and we will have an unbranded white gazebo on the grass you can use as a meeting point.
Naturally you will all be aware of the current government guidance to reduce the spread of COVID-19 so please take care to maintain social distance at this event, respect other peoples’ personal space, wash your hands (washroom is open), and avoid touching other peoples’ motorbikes as this could spread the virus. Apart from that come and enjoy a burger and hopefully a good selection of motorbikes.
And remember to bring your facemask for entering the café to order, or if you find yourself unable to socially distance for any reason at any time.
Welcome to the
Norton Owners Club’s Surrey Branch
Situated just a few miles away from the historic Brooklands Racetrack, where Bert Denly (pictured above) roared round the banking on his Model 18 Brooklands Special in 1925, we meet at The Stepping Stones, a great bike friendly pub at West Humble near Box Hill.
We organise rides out, quiz nights and visits to local places of interest.
Our members can offer a wealth of useful experience to help you with your Norton – old or new!
Come along to one of our club nights and see what we are up to and have a chat. New members or just interested in Nortons? Come along!
Or you can call or e-mail us at the address shown on the contact page.
You can be sure of a warm welcome whatever time of year!
If you’re interested in bikes and particularly the unapproachable Norton, on the page links on the left you’ll find plenty to whet your appetite and using the links on the right you will find our activities listed by dates.
